Thank you for visiting and allow me to briefly introduce myself. My name is Bertrand Yves Delisle and I was born in Rambouillet, in France, in 1964.

After high school, bowled over by an increasing passion for the world of music, I decided to move to Italy so as to attend a violinmaking school.

So it was that I came to Cremona and enrolled at the I.P.I.A.L.L. violinmaking school where, thanks to the precious guidance of Master Violinmaker Giorgio Cé, I obtained my violinmaking diploma.
In 1991, after a few years of training on my own, I was taken on by the well-know workshop of Carlson - Cacciatori - Neumann in Cremona where I completed my training in building and restoring string instruments.

In the course of my work at the Carlson-Cacciatori-Neumann workshop, engagements were many and intense, such as to allow me to take part in only two international competitions for violinmakers.
In 1996 I was able to present one of my cellos, a Stradivarius mod. B, at the Manchester Cello Festival organized by the Royal National College of Music. The instrument received the special French Violinmakers and Bowmakers award.

In 1997 I presented another cello, again a Stradivarius mod. B, at the Mittenwald Violinmaking Festival, where I received the Special Award for the high quality of craftsmanship given by the Presidency of the Bavarian Ministers.
Now that I have opened my violinmaking workshop I propose finding the time necessary to prepare top level instruments to be presented at the most important competitions.
